What is the difference between rekeying and changing locks?
Rekeying changes the pins inside your existing lock so it works with a new key — old keys stop working. Changing locks replaces the hardware. Rekeying is usually the cheaper option if your locks are in good shape.
Can you make all my doors use one key?
Yes, if the locks share a compatible keyway. We can rekey them to one key, or recommend matching hardware if they don't.
How much does it cost to rekey a lock?
Rekeying runs $40–$95 per lock, depending on the lock and how many you have. Installing a new lock starts at $125. We confirm the exact price before we start.
How long does a rekey take?
Most homes take less than an hour for the front, back and garage entry doors.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday 8 AM – 8 PM, Saturday and Sunday 9 AM – 8 PM. Call during those hours and we dispatch a technician right away, or book a time online.
